7030 Company Benefits

"Corporate and individual responsibility go alongside Government responsibility."

Child Sponsership Plan

A small monthly contribution from your company, combined with a low after-tax employee cost, will translate to millions of children cared for daily.

Companies of all sizes are learning that being a good corporate citizen is becoming a major part of doing business today. As a good corporate citizen, companies understand the rewards of employee retention, employee engagement and that giving back is just the right thing to do. If you are one of these companies and you are looking for an easy, quick and viable way to improve your corporate citizenship then this program is for you. Every company with a minimum of 70% of the employees participating (and the company funding 30% of the cost) is a 7030 Child Sponsorship Company that can proudly display this logo on their public information materials. With the 7030 logo on your public information materials your customers will instantly recognize and appreciate they are involved with people who care.

A company, management member, or one employee can champion this cause throughout the workplace. 7030 will assist with accounting and marketing tools.

Step-By-Step

  • Advise the employees in writing that the company and the government will participate in funding the cost for child sponsorship (download the Announcement). To give the employees more information also distribute the 7030 Plan Promo Page (download).
  • Obtain a signed agreement with the employee (download Sponsorship Commitment Form 5MB), an acknowledgment of the 7030 Plan.
  • You may want to advise the employees what document they are required to submit each February.
When one corporation participates and challenges its competitors to respond as well, children worldwide will be saved from unnecessary suffering.

Employees... get involved

As an employee, you can champion the 7030 Plan to gain support from your co-workers and ask your HR manager for direction. Use the free marketing downloads. We will provide you with the support materials via this website. The momentum continues when compassionate individuals (like yourself) motivate your workplace.

  • Print the 7030 Promo Page (5MB download) and approach the appropriate manager in your company. Gain information on the employee giving and payroll deduction policies.
  • Confirm the company you are working for is willing to participate in funding 30% of the sponsored child cost.
  • Market the idea in an inter-office memo and/or your company newsletter
  • Encourage each employee in a follow-up meeting, or email
  • Each employee (70% or more) sponsors a child directly through an established, registered child sponsorship organization (see links).
  • The employee forwards the name of the child sponsorship organization (and the ID number they provide) to your employer.
  • Remind the employee the child sponsorship will cost them approximately $13.50. The remainder ($26.50 of the $40.00 sponsorship cost) will be reimbursed on their pay cheque.

Note: All the money 'raised' by 7030 Child Sponsor Plan goes directly to the child sponsorship organization of the employee's choice. Our board of directors and workforce are volunteers.
